Russia's Power Families - 2011
Πηγή: election 2012

The "Russia’s Power Families – 2011. The Government" report was prepared by the Monitoring Expert Group (MEG), created in 2011 by Marina Litvinovich, political scientist and journalist. The Group brings together information processing specialists, investigative journalists, experts and analysts. Six people helped gather the material for this report, which took three months to prepare.
The report compiles and organizes all publicly available information on business ties of Russian Government members and their closest family. The authors carefully verified all the information using publicly available sources, including various databases, the official government registry of companies, company financial reports, and information from tax, registration and other authorities. Combining this information in one report enabled us to get a clear picture of the inter-relationship between various Government ministers’ business interests and the interests of their closest family members and friends.
The authors discovered new, never-before published information on the RF Government members profiled in the report. The report sheds light on previously misunderstood information, explaining the reasoning that may have seemed unclear, and highlighting obvious "family" interests. The authors essentially concluded that, in Russia, there are 50 or so families of the highest-ranking government officials and businessmen who are the true decision makers on Russian mineral resources (oil, gas, metals, gold). These are also the individuals who control the largest budget funds of the Russian state and make key political decisions.
This report is ready to be used as a starting point to investigate RF Government members: most of the information is easily verified using official sources. The report also mentions criminal cases (with case files numbering thousands of pages) that were dropped or closed. The authors would like to thank volunteers who helped translate the “Russia’s Power Families – 2011. The Government” report into English. They are: Andrei, Mixail, Jeroen, Daniil, Anatoly, Olga, Dmitry, Arman, Natalia, Vera, Maxim, Alexei, Petr, Kirill and Ilya.
