The aim of this research is to investigate on the relationship between Turkey and Syria in the light of the revolts exploded in Damascus and Aleppo on March 2011. “Syria has always represented the prototypical hostile neighbor for Turkey” : ancestral political questions disturb the peace in the region, and now the revolt in Syria, that has caused serious problems at the borders with Turkey, exacerbates the tensions. Water shortage, PKK’s menace and the negotiation with Israel for the resolution of conflict in Middle East are the Sword of Damocles on the Syrian and Turkish heads. Borders between two states are constantly in a situation of conflict early warning.
